LeFlore Public Schools is pleased to announce that the Baccalaureate and Senior graduation date has been set. The Baccalaureate will be on June 27th at 1:00 in the new gym with the graduation following at 2:00. Following recommendations from the State Dept. of Ed, each graduate will be given 6 tickets to hand out to family members. Each ticket holder will have the opportunity to sit in chairs on the gym floor and all others must sit in the bleachers. Though this is not the ending that anyone would have expected for our seniors, we know that collectively we will create new memories that will be no less special or meaningful. I would like you to know that this decision was not made lightly by our administration and at this time our most important priority is the health and well-being of everyone involved. Saying this, we ask that each of you take it upon yourselves to decide whether to attend or not and to follow the safe practices that our federal and state government have advised which include wearing PPE such as masks and social distancing with people that are not within your immediate family! Additionally, we will be live streaming the ceremony on Facebook and recording it for those families that cannot or choose not to attend. Even in the midst of uncertainty, we have the power to conscientiously choose joy and celebration as the cornerstones of this very important time in our children’s lives. Rest assured, our future is in great hands as these students are our future leaders!
Sincerely,
Bill Neyman
LeFlore Superintendent

One more reminder for all of our students and parents. Packets will go out tomorrow on the bus routes. It doesn’t matter if you e been taking meals or not we will still deliver to all according to their routes. We will start deliveries about 10:00 and work our way through the routes. If you’ve been taking meals on the routes understand that they will take a little linger tomorrow as we will be making several more stops along the way. Please be patient.
If you live outside the district and need to come pick up your packs they will be available at the library from 9:00-12:00. DO NOT come into the buildings. Pull up just like a drop off line and honk. Teachers will bring your packs. To your vehicle. Thanks for your help.

We are in the process of assembling distance learning resources for our students. We will be delivering these on Wednesday to students living in our district. If a student attends our school but does not live in our district then the resources should be picked up Wednesday from 9:00 - 12:00 at the library.

Our staff will leave out for deliveries at the regular time, 10:00 AM.

Our cafeteria food truck is running behind this morning, so our meal deliveries may be later than usual today. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Also, as a social distancing reminder, when meals are delivered, please do not meet our staff at their vehicles for your meals. After we have set your meals out for you, and have gotten back into our vehicles, then you may retrieve your meals. This is to keep our community safe, and our staff members safe. Thank you for your understanding.

Because of the huge response we received for our meal service program, we would like to thank our community and district for their participation. We have over 150 children taking part in our program. Without them, we would not have been able to make this meal service possible. If you, or someone you know, is in need of meals, lives within our school district, and is 18 years or younger, please contact Lori Ryles on Facebook messenger, or phone at 918-288-3083 (call or txt).

Parents and guardians, please encourage your child to participate in our meal delivery service, even if they don't want any meals. It will help the school with the resources to continue providing meals to the students that really need it. Our school is reimbursed by the government for every meal. Those reimbursements help fuel the costs to run this service for our students. It is very important that we have as many participants as possible. If you would like for your child to participate, or would like more information, please contact Lori Ryles via Facebook messenger or via phone at 918-288-3083 (call or text), or Katie Pearson via phone at 918-839-7541 (call or text). Thank you.

Beginning on Monday, March 23, 2020, we will be distributing the Grab & Go breakfasts and lunches to anyone 18 years of age and younger who lives within our school district. Meals will be disbursed through our normal bus routes starting at 10:00 AM, Monday through Thursday until finished.
In order to receive meals, or for more information, please contact Lori Ryles at 918-288-3083 (call or text) or on Facebook messenger, or Katie Pearson at 918-839-7541 (call or text).
